Apparently the WB canceled "Just Legal" due to under-performance. The show was extremely low-rated, granted it was on the WB, it was even beyond WB standards. The show was only bring ing slighly over a million viewers a week, and couldnīt hold on to 40% of the audience of itīs lead-in, "7th Heaven" (now in itīs 10th Season). Apparently "Just Legal" was not immediately canceled, although the signs are pretty clear. Only 3 episodes aired, and this past Monday it was replaced with a repeat of the new WB show, "Related", which is also lackluster. The show had 9 episodes of itīs 13-order in the can, and production has been halted with no signs of being started back up again soon.

But now the buzz around Hollywood is that the show is indeed canceled. Nobody is saying it, but itīs canceled, and odds are the remaining 6-filmed unaired episodes, will never be seen.

Statement from the Webmaster: I am upset right now. I was really getting into "Just Legal", and enjoying the characters. Itīs a sad shame that the show has been canceled, not only canceled, but only 3 episodes into the show. It really isnīt the WBīs fault though. They promoted it well, and with a lead-in like "7th Heaven", there shouldnīt have been a problem with the show holding on to itīs audience, but it simply didnīt. It just under performed, and thereīs really nothing you can do about it. I really feel that "Legal" was just out of place at the WB, and that was itīs biggest problem. The WB is the new-Fox, and markets strictly to teenagers. Even on shows like "7th Heaven" & "Everwood", the adult roles for the leads have been scaled way back, in favor of new younger characters. I just feel a Don Johnson-lead series on the WB was just not the right place for the "Legal" vehicle. It wouldīve probably survived better, being put on a network like CBS.
