After the death of his brother in New York City, a young NYC armed robbery detective named Ricardo Tubbs travels south to Miami to try and nail his brotherīs killer, a virtually unstoppable Colombian druglord named Calderone. Not only is Calderoneīs henchmen in his way, but Tubbs may also have problems with the local Miami Vice division, who are also investigating Calderone, and feel they need no outside help. But after the death of a fellow detective in the line of duty from a car bomb, with Calderoneīs markings, the local head Vice detective, James "Sonny" Crockett, now has a personal vendetta against Calderone, and no one will get in his way.
