What are your favorite song or songs, from "Miami Vice".

I think my top-3 are ...

1. In The Air Tonight by Phil Collins - Appeared in the pilot movie, and in the 4th Season episode "A Bullet For Crockett". Both times very powerful, and a classic for the series & television.

2. Smuggler's Blues by Glenn Frey - Appeared in both the 1st Season episode "Smuggler's Blues", and the 4th Season episode, "A Bullet For Crockett". Both times, very powerful. This song can wain a little bit, but definitive for "Miami Vice".

3. Working On It by Chris Rea - Appeared in the 5th Season episode, "Miami Squeeze". I just love this song, and I loved the opening to "Squeeze" with it playing over in the teaser. One of my favorites.

My favs are also your first two on your list..
I also liked Tina Turners "Better be Good to me" which was played through the shows.

If i remember rightly "Smuggler's Blues" and "Better be Good to me" were both played in the Airwolf episode "Birds of paradise"

Cheers chips.

No "Smuggler's Blues" didn't play on "Airwolf". The episode of "Airwolf" that featured Tina Turner's "Better Be Good To Me" was the 3rd Season finale, "Birds of Paradise". It also featured Dire Straits' "Money For Nothing" & Animotion's "Obsession".

As for "Vice", Turner's "Better Be Good To Me" appeared in the 1st Season episode, "Give A Little, Take A Little", during the teaser.

Those are good choices.

"Voices" = Season 1's "Calderone's Return (Pt. II)"
"Rag Doll" = Season 4's "Honor Among Thieves?"

"No Way Out" by Don Johnson
"Dangerous Game" by Tommy Shaw
"Mercy" by Steve Jones
"Streetwise" by Don Johnson
"When the Rain Comes Down" by Andy Taylor(Featuring Steve Jones on Guitar)
"Par Avion" by Mike and the Mechanics
"Voices" by Russ Ballard
Also, slightly unrelated but the 12' remix of the theme tune is the best IMO------
I have all of the above saved as mp3's btw, along with most of the songs used on MV. Pm me if you want any of 'em ;)

Actually that would be "Wanted Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi, from Season 3's "El Viejo" (1986) guest-starring Willie Nelson.

WOW this forum isn't very active! Where is everybody?

I'll add my faves. There are SO many!

In The Air Tonight - Phil Collins
I Don't Care Anymore - Phil Collins {epi with Bruce Willis} Need I say anything more about Phil Collins and the scenes in which his songs were used for? Phil is THE MAN!!!!!

Smugglers Blues - Glen Frey. All time classic song.

Cry - Godly and Creme. This song RULES! LOVE how the scenes are used with this song. Again, classic ending to a Miami Vice epi.

New York theme - Jan Hammer. I was playing this epi over and over when I first got it on tape to hear this theme.

Better Be Good To Me - Tina Turner. Nuff said.

Life Is A Rat Race - Phil Collins. Again, no words needed for Phil. He's the BEST!

Bad To The Bone - George T. My friend and I were singing this song ALL the time in school when we heard it on Vice.

You Belong To The City - Glen Frey. Love seeing Don Johnson walk down the street while this song is playing.

The Last Unborken Heart - Patti Labelle..I don't know who the male singer is with her in this song. Its on the Miami Vice II soundtrack.

There is a song in the epi with Lynn Whitfield..the epi where the Odet character gets raped in Gina's apartment. The song has the lyrics: "You gotta fight for what you believe in, and honey I believe in you." I don't know the name of that song but, it rules as well. It plays as Gina finds out Odet is dead and than plays thru those scenes plus at the end. Very powerful song.

"I´m gonna take care of this, personal."
